From An Abomination To An Obama Nation

Barack Obama is back on the campaign trail after visiting his grandmother in Hawaii. I sincerely hope that his grandmother recovers, and is able to see Obama elected to our nation’s highest office.

I wrote a post in August about why people should not vote for McCain, but haven’t really explained why we should support Obama. To quote Bill Clinton’s campaign against the senior Bush in 1992, “it’s the economy stupid!”

George W. Bush’s answer to this country’s economic problem’s was to hand out “economic stimulus” checks. Obama will listen to advisers from both parties..no, all parties and independents, and work with them. Rather than handing out checks, Obama will create jobs, raise wages, and make insurance affordable for low-middle income families.

McCain is a very wealthy man with more houses than he can count. I know, most people can count to eight, but McCain is also very dense. Obama wants to cut taxes on anyone making under $250,000 per year. McCain is upset, because he considers an ordinary millionaire (as opposed to a multi-multi millionairre) making only around a half-million dollars a year, to be middle-class.

Barack Obama also plans to start rewarding companies that keep jobs in America. McCain’s economic policy echos Bush’s policy which supports only large corporations and the wealthiest Americans. George Bush Sr guided our country into a recession, that Bill Clinton helped us out of. Bush Jr. has held his office for eight years, and the economy is now falling apart, despite the “free money” that he handed out to make the middle class temporarily giddy.

I am not claiming to be an expert on economics. But I was against the Bush administration when being against the Bush administration wasn’t cool. I don’t like W’s policies, foreign or domestic. Now the majority of Americans are seeing the damage that his policies, and his magic veto pen (after we elected a Democratic Congress) can wreak.

The last eight years have been an abomination. For the next eight years, lets be an Obama nation.

I did want to let you know that for some reason this post doesn’t appear to work in Internet Explorer. On a side note, I was wondering if you desired to swap blogroll links? I hope to hear from you soon!
