*closed* Fabulous Prize Pack Giveaway Celebrates 31 Days of Oscar On TCM
My wife and I love watching Turner Classic Movies. This month TCM is celebrating 31 Days of Oscar by playing 360 Academy Award nominated and winning movies uncut and commercial free. To make the celebration even more fun, each of the 360 movies are linked to the last by a shared actor or actress. This clever arrangement is inspired by the 6-Degrees of Kevin Bacon game.
31 Days of Oscar began February 1 with Only When I Laugh starring Kevin Bacon. The event will complete a 360° loop back to another Kevin Bacon film at 4 am March 3-4 with Diner. Even though we are three weeks into the festivities there are still plenty of amazing films to watch before the fun ends.
For instance, tonight at 8:45 pm CST, TCM is showing A Free Soul (1931) starring Clark Gable and Leslie Howard. Of course, 8-years later the two actors would star together in Gone With the Wind!
Sunday evening on February 21st, TCM will be broadcasting On The Waterfront (1954) starring the inimitable Marlon Brando and Eva Marie Saint in her first theatrical role. This will be followed by Hitchcock’s North By Northwest (1959) starring Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint!
These are just a few of my favorite films that Turner Classic Movies has lined up this month. On TCM’s website you can see the top 10 Oscar-winning films as chosen by their visitors. You can also vote for your favorite films and have the results added to the poll!
Another fun feature of TCM’s website this month is the Mood Sharing widget to find great quotes that will suit any mood you are in! Then you can share your quote with your Facebook friends or through an ecard!
What better way to top off a month of watching some of the greatest films of all time, than to watch this years Academy Awards? The movies nominated for this most prestigious award are the future classics that will be admired and talked about for years to come.
This year the 82nd Annual 
Academy Awards will be co-hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. The show will air LIVE on Sunday, March 7th at 7 pm CST on ABC. Turner Classic Movies is allowing one of my readers to celebrate the Academy Award festivities in style by sponsoring this awesome giveaway!
