The Uglysuit are an incredible new psychedelic folk band hailing from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Their self-titled debut album hit select stores & itunes in 2008.  The album contains 9 songs, plus two bonus tracks including an acoustic version of their first single, Chicago. For those who haven’t heard the song, I have included the video below. It is a good introduction to this mesmerizing band of musical psychonauts.

The Ugly Suit’s sound is defined by spaced-out lyrics layered over sweeping melodic arrangements. This youthful 6-piece band is reminiscent of bands such as Pink Floyd, Phantom Planet, and The Flaming Lips.   If their debut is an indication of things to come,  there is a golden future in store for this remarkably talented group.
